VISI magazine is the South African authority on décor, design and architecture. A recipient of dozens of international awards over the years, it was recently included in the list (which includes Vogue Italia and Wallpaper*) of best design media in the world.
xler8AD founder Crispian Brown was asked by the Editor-in-Chief to relook the whole brand in preparation for its 100th issue.
In collaboration with the editors, he articulated a new forward-looking position for the brand “Re-envision your world” and redesigned the publication with simplified grids, new typefaces, a modernist aesthetic and more restrained and contemporary art direction.
The refreshed brand was launched for the 100th issue across all platforms including print, digital, social and video. The new positioning allowed for supplements, special editions, events, experiences and collaborations with individual creatives that are at once bespoke but part of a single brand entity such as this Jan Ras photographic book.
